Newly hired CCAs should be advised of their FECA rights and protections at orientation and during on-the-job training. Due to the nature of their employment, CCAs in their WebFECA is the federal law that applies to federal employees with work-related injuries or illnesses. The Act is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Workers Compensation Programs (OWCP). FECA requires that compensation benefits be provided to injured federal employees.
