The last several days, I've felt some vibration, looked at the drive shaft, and found that the rear u-joint that bolts to the rear axle yoke was moving in the yoke. You want the axle to contact the bump stop prior to reaching the end of travel for either the shock or shackle. That way you'll avoid broken shock hangers or bend leaves.
WebMay 31, 2011 · Took alot of hammering with a mallet and block of wood to get the damn housing and broken shaft off. Do not directly hammer the tailcone housing - the aluminum will get damaged. Replace the oil seal, tailcone bearing and slip yoke.
